About Me
I am an experienced primary teacher with over 14 years experience teaching across key stages, from EYFS to KS2. I have always had a passion for inclusive learning and, after several years teaching, I undertook my PGCert SpLD (Dyslexia) which allows me to assess and diagnose dyslexia as well as provide specialist tuition. I am fully registered with AMBDA and hold both APC (Assessment Practicing Certificate) and ATS (Approved Teacher Status).

I specialise in supporting dyslexic learners to achieve their true potential through multisensory teaching of phonics, reading, writing and spelling, along with memory work and sequencing. I also offer full diagnostic assessments, literacy assessments and primary age tuition in reading, writing and phonics.

Full Diagnostic Assessments
Specialist Tuition
Assessments begin with an initial consultation. From here I will be able to advise whether a full assessment with be beneficial, I take great pride in my work and you have my guarantee that I will not assess unnecessarily!
When restrictions allow, assessments can take place either in my COVID secure home office, or in your own home For younger children it may be necessary to conduct the assessment over more than one visit. Breaks will be provided regardless and it is my aim to ensure your child is as relaxed and comfortable as possible during the assessment process.
Following the assessment I will provide a full diagnostic assessment report, showing your child's strengths and how these can be used to their advantage, as well as indentifying areas for development. Recommendations for home and school will be provided. The assessment report can also be used for applications for extra support during examinations and for Disabled Student Allowance where and when relevant.

Online one-to-one tuition incorporating reading, writing and phonics taught through fun, multisensory activities, memory work and metacognition. For older pupils study skills will also be taught.
Once restrictions allow, I will be resuming face-to-face tuition.
Fees
Full Diagnostic Assessment - approximately 5 hours of assessments, plus full diagnostic report, including full analysis of strengths and areas for development, recommendations for home and school. Fee - £400.

Specialist Tuition (both face-to-face and online) - Fee - £40.

Literacy Report - literacy based assessments plus analysis of strengths and areas for development, full report including recommendations for home and school. Fee - £200.
